  • Does anyone know of any peanut-free, tree-nut free (from the source!) ice cream (made from milk) available in U.S. supermarkets or food stores? I have been looking for a year and a half and have concluded there isn't any in the U.S!

  • Traveling Nut Free (Whether You're Allergic Or Not)

Just the other day, I was on Jet Blue and asked not to eat any foods with nuts in it.

They even took around a trash bag (on the plane) so individuals could dispose of this food before the allergic individual could boarded the plane.

Unfortunately, I happened to be carrying a bag of trail mix. I didn't throw it away, because it wasn't open, but I was a little miffed that I wasn't warned in advance (as I would have brought a snack that was nut free to enjoy).

What could airlines do better to accommodate those with severe allergies while adequately warning those of us who don't have sensitivities?
