Let's discuss our favorite "go-to" healthy snacks... more often than not mine is a handful of almonds. What's yours?

I work out right after work (around 6pm) -- by the end of my workout (around 7pm) I'm absolutely ravenous -- this leads to making a lot of foods that are quickly thrown together and not as healthy. I feel like I should eat something before I work out to keep my energy high. I'm not exactly a fitness expert, so what should I eat before working out and what's the best time to enjoy it? I don't want to be on the treadmill hungry or with a belly ache!
