Hey all! Feel free to include conversations about Lactose Intolerance in this community. I was allergic to milk when I was little, and I think I'm still intolerant myself.

The USDA recently produced a study that shows links between milk and heart disease, type 1 diabetes, anemia in children, prostate cancer, and asthma. Further, 75 % of those tested were found intolerant to milk and milk products. For many, milk can cause sinus infections, eczema, ear infections, irritable bowel syndrome and digestive problems. If you can't have milk and are worried about calcium, don't fret... there are things you can do to offset the lack of milk in your diet... don't consume cola, alcohol, caffeine, salt or excess animal proteins which leach calcium out of your bones and do consume rich greens, sardines, sesame seeds, nuts, and beans which are all rich in this mineral.
