I tried this on the so called "sample row" at Costco this weekend (along with some kind of falafel that had me referring to the section over by the produce as "death row," but that's a whole other review...)and I really enjoyed it. It's got a nice little sweetness to it that doesn't overwhelm you. I usually get veggie sausage because of the nutritional sham generally associated with sausages, but I would actually buy these for an occasional barbecue or as a treat.
There's another brand of chicken sausage I prefer, I think I tried looking for it on Zeer, no luck. I think it's casual gourmet of something. Aidell's is ok, the other seems to be made with more white meat and definitely has less fat. The chicken & apple was an interesting sweet/savory mix. Good thing is it's made with chicken that are antibiotic free. But I don't think I'd buy Aidell's regularly.
Aidell knows his sausage. And I'm proud to say, I do too.
It's fully cooked and hard to screw up in a pan or on the grill. Extremely versatile with a sweet and savory taste that goes with everything!*
*Everything excludes mint ice cream and hair gel.
Succulent flavor aside, let's take a look at how the nutritional content compares to other sausages? Try 100Cals and almost 10g of fat less than most of its naturally cased brethren.
But you're eating a sausage. What do you care?
