Ahhhhh flashbacks to the Wellesley annual holiday dinners, the first time I had peppermint stick pie which was basically peppermint stick ice cream smashed into pie plates by the dining hall =) Yes, agree with Molly hard to find. Even harder in NYC. Every year makes me think of investing in an ice cream maker !
I love peppermint stick ice cream - it's so much fun to dig out the cool refreshing peppermint sticks and pink flavored pools from the vanilla ice cream. I occasionally crave peppermint stick ice cream, which is frustrating since Brigham's is the only brand sold year round, and in Boston, is not found in Whole Foods or Shaws. A friend who also loves it told me that it is available at Stop and Shop, but I haven't checked that out.
