  I wouldn't really call this a session beer, but I do most definitely love those gingerbread type spices in there. Perfect beer to accompany a lot of the winter holiday foods if you're a fan of flavored beers.

  Winter Warmer is my least favorite Harpoon. Too much nutmeg (maybe I just don't like spiced beers). I generally have one a year and don't enjoy it.

  I wouldn't take it to a friend's house for a night of drinking, but it's great to have one or two curled up at home.

    I enjoy drinking this beer at a friends place if the sum of the people is around 10 people or less, but for a large party, I do agree, not really a "party-time" beer, more of a relaxing drink with friends. I think it's the spices. They're so...heartwarming.

  I don't mind a beer with some spice character, but this one is a little TOO spicy for me. It's kinda pumpkin pie-y? But I won't turn my nose up at it if somebody's got a case lying around.

  So I enjoy this beer when it's chilly out, however, overall I'd say it's a little heavy on the spices. I prefer more beer taste to my beer.

  Usually I am not a fan of the winter warmer... I find it to be a novelty that is novel enough to just take my mind off the cold for a few minutes before i go back to my ol standby of hefeweizen. However, this year, Harpoon's winter warmer was the SHIZZZZ.

  This is a great beer to take to a party during the winter. You can get a cube of them, it's affordable, and it tastes like gingerbread. If you like the spices of the season, this is a fine choice for winterly consumption!

  When I do drink beer in the winter, this is a longtime favorite. It's yummy cinnamon and nutmeg flavors warm you right up!
