These taste almost like home made pie crust! Unfortunately, because they're folded, if not given ample counter time, the dough is stiff and will crack at the seams. Boooo. Fortunately, it's dough, and therefore malleable and mendable. Many a time have I had to mend these crusts as part of my Thanksgiving prep. It's still a bit of a pain. Now that Pillsbury has the rolly kind with the same delicious recipe, I just use that.
The day that Pillsbury came out with these lovely rolled-up pie crusts made my Thanksgiving pies so much easier. It's true the previous folded version still saved me from having to make the dough myself, but there were always the cracks and creases to mend. Not to mention, they taste so good!
With the help of these pie crusts, I don't need to make dough for 2 pumpkin pies, 1 cherry and 1 apple crumb. Whew. Unroll and go. What a life saver!
