What a blast from the past! I haven't had Pop Rocks since I was "smoking" candy cigarettes back in the day.

Pop rocks are awesome for a number of reasons. These reasons are as follows:

1: When you build up a lot of saliva behind your bottom teeth and dump a pack of pop rocks in there, the occasional pop rock pops so hard that it knocks another pop rock out. like your mouth was some kinda volcano

2: it is one of the best examples of a gas dissolved into a solid.

3: while mikey did not in fact die from pop rocks and coke, its a good way to teach kids about burping, since burping is the mechanism that stops you from dying when you mix the two. seagulls can't burp, thats why they explode when you feed them alka seltzer.

4: tingles in your mouth are kinda hard to come by these days.

strawberry is a pretty standard flavor, i also enjoy watermelon.

Pop Rocks, you got a bad name ever since rumor had it that Mikey from Life Cereal had his "stomach explode" from drinking it and diet coke. Actually, pop rocks are quite amusing, best enjoyed when you have people around to share them with. The thought of eating pop rocks by yourself, that's just sacrilege. Overly sweet, but a dynamic, timeless candy. Probably not something you could enjoy day to day, but once in awhile if you were a child of the early 90s and love nostalgic sweets.
