I'm not gluten intolerant; but I have a friend who is. We had company for dinner and I served the Rustic Crust gluten free pizza as an hors d'oeuves topped with extra virgin olive oil, a little sea salt and fresh chopped basil. The company suggested this recipe. Everyone raved about it and no one knew they were eating gluten free. Before serving it, I called the company with a question about the ingredients and found out that the new version is egg free and that their products are now certified kosher. Go Rustic Crust. You've got a fan here!!
I got this once as a gift for one of my co-workers who was recently diagnosed as a celiac. She swears that these are the best gluten free pizza crusts she has found. I think she is still trying to find the best gluten free beer to go along with it?
My wife and I have tried every gluten free pizza crust on the market and this is the best -- by a mile. The package comes with two crusts in it, and one of the best things about it is that it is a shelf-stable product and all-natural -- nothing artificial and no preservatives. Rustic has some sort of unique packaging and an "oxygen absorber" inside that you throw out after you open the package. These crusts are great. Sometimes we even serve them to our kids -- they don't have a gluten intolerance, but it's probably good to limit their gluten intake as well. And they eat these just like they were "real."
