My husband and I are addicted to this sauce! It really does add a nice chili flavor to anything and everything. My favorites are to put it in stir-fries, pho noodle soup, and macaroni and cheese.
Once you've tried this out, there is no going back. By far the most flavorful, colorful and tangiest peppery sauce you will find!! Great on burgers and wraps -- and pasta salad too come to think of it.
I've actually found that splashing a couple of drops of this stuff on a scoop of butter pecan ice cream makes for a real interesting and intense flavor. Not for the faint of heart..
This is a versatile sauce. It's great mixed with mayonnaise and put on some seared tuna. It completely livens up bland Chinese or Thai or Vietnamese or even Mexican food. I much prefer it to Tabasco sauce.
This is undoubtedly on of the most popular hot sauces and one of my favorites. It is very easy to obtain from any Chinese or Vietnamese grocery stores and in some cities regular local grocery stores carry them too. Another plus is that it is relatively inexpensive, about $2.49 for the one liter bottle (dated july 08 might go up with the new inflation.) Something else as good if not better is the Indonesian "Sambal." I don't have the brand and the details of it yet, but I will post it once I find the links. So obviously it is not as easy to find but none the less worth looking for. If you love Tuong Ot Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce you will love the Indonesia Sambal.
I almost quit eating at P.F. Chang's until I found out that if I put this stuff on ANYTHING, it ends up tasting delicious. It's really spicy, but it's SO DAMN GOOD.
Warning: Don't leave it out on the counter or the dog will get into it and it will make her sick. You've been warned.
This stuff will rock your mouth! It's the perfect hot sauce in that it adds a nice clean heat without much else. I love it on noodles, in my Pho, and as a way of spicing up any ole' cold leftover.
