Niederegger Lubeck Dark Chocolate Covered Marzipan

This is pretty much the best marzipan that you can find in American shops. It's not very convenient to eat--it's a big bar that you need to slice on a plate--but worth every bite!

It can still be hard to find Niederegger in the States. If you see it, do yourself a favor and buy a bar!

Ritter Sport Dark, with Marzipan Chocolate

The best of all the Ritter Sport bars, in my opinion! Probably not as fine as Niederegger marzipan, but much more affordable, and just the right size and shape to pop it in your jacket packet and sneak it into a movie.

You can find this candy everywhere, these days, from CVS to Target.

Pete and Gerry's Organic Grade A Large Brown Eggs

We go through several 6-packs per month, and I'm happy to pay the slightly higher price because I know this farm is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to sustainable, humane, small-scale, family farming practices. These eggs are worth every penny.

Pete & Gerry's eggs are brown, come in the usual sizes, and have gorgeous, bright, orange-yellow yolks.

The eggs come in a little, domed plastic container, which you can reuse like 6 mini-greenhouses for starting seedlings! I didn't think that up myself; there's a tip about it inside some of the containers. :-)

Pete & Gerry's is committed to the community, the animals, and the environment. You can see pictures of their obviously not massive-agro farm on their website, as well as find a great article about sustainable
... farming, written by one of the family partners. I definitely feel good about buying from this local (NH) company!
