So in our conversion from products with additives, to Food, we went looking for a cottage cheese that was just dairy, and not gums, etc. In Dallas that was a challenge until we came across Nancy's at both Whole Foods and Central Market. There is an organic version that we haven't found yet, but this is really good. We will probably go to the whole milk product rather than the low fat version because it isn't like we are sitting around eating cottage cheese all day, and we don't really see a reason to process the milk down to a skim level and then add in nonfat Milk Powder (whatever that may be).
This is a wonderful product. We've adapted for deserts. Mix in a little Splenda Brown Sugar, a little Vanilla extract and then match it with some fresh berries (and maybe bananas). It's thick, its creamy, it's always in my fridge.
Before I start making my own Granola, I have a couple of boxes of these left. I have to tell you that they are really good either for a breakfast on the run or for a mid-morning snack. Mocha anything is good, and you have to appreciate a product from a coffee company, even if it really is Gernal Mills (hey, didn't they once have Ceral.com?) It's not that the various forms of corn syrup in it are good for you, but in a pinch it is well balanced and tasty.
