  • Nasoya Super Firm, Cubed Tofu

Star Star No Star No Star No Star

The cubes are way too small for my taste. I fried them and they shrunk down to the size of little hash brown cubes, so there was hardly any tofu taste left inside of the fried stuff. Anyway, it's not that difficult to cut up tofu so I'm happy to buy one big block that I can cut to size myself.

  • Fritos Original Corn Chips

Star Star Star Star No Star

This is the only junk food where I dare look at the ingredients. Corn, Corn Oil, and Salt. That's it. Sure, it's high in fat and salt, but at least you know what you're putting in your body.

Party themes that I've thrown in recent years:
    Tiki Lounge
    Under the Sea
    Fantasy Island
    70s Cop Show Brunch
    Synth Jungle

Party Themes that I have dreamed up but not yet tried:
Second Chance Party - Everyone wears an outfit that they only wore once and could never wear again (halloween costume, wedding dress, bridesmaid dress). There would be a talent show where people would perform things that they practiced and practiced and practiced and only performed once (talent show pieces, speeches that were recited for class, etc.) and there would be a potluck of, what else, leftovers.

Costume Shop Party - Everyone has to rent a costume from a costume shop, and the party moves to random public spots around town, just for the heck of it.

IM Party - Everyone brings a laptop and no o... show more"

For those of you with yards, check out your city's department of public works for extremely discounted compost bins and rain barrels. I know that both Cambridge and Arlington have programs and you can get bins/barrels for approx half of their normal retail prices. We compost as much as possible and it's reduced our garbage to less than a bag a week, plus it's great for the garden. And the rain barrel is an easy and smart way to water your garden without using the public water supply. It just hooks right to your gutter and collects rain from the roof.
