Dr. McDougall's Right Foods Noodle, Pad Thai Soup

I heartily recommend this soup as a great lunch addition, or as a nice anytime "light meal", particularly on cold or rainy days. Not only is it reasonably healthy and vegan to boot, but it actually has a ton of flavor and is really quick to get ready (add hot water) and quite quite filling. Has a nice gingery pep to it, a generous portion of noodles and nothing to clean up after. My spouse and I both love this range of soups -- Pad Thai is my favorite hands-down (he prefers the black bean). You can get these at Whole Foods (and I even see a limited range of these soups in Dominick's) but if you can stand a slight delay in receipt, then Amazon has good deals on buying them in bulk. If at home, chop up some fresh cilantro, toast some peanuts and just sprinkle them on top and really give... your taste buds a party

Tuong Ot Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

Once you've tried this out, there is no going back. By far the most flavorful, colorful and tangiest peppery sauce you will find!! Great on burgers and wraps -- and pasta salad too come to think of it.

I've actually found that splashing a couple of drops of this stuff on a scoop of butter pecan ice cream makes for a real interesting and intense flavor. Not for the faint of heart..

Ben & Jerry's Vermonty Python Ice Cream

Nothing like a pint of Vermont's best while watching a rerun of MP & The Holy Grail ... Sugar high? (Check), Caffeine flavor? (Check) Chocolate? (Are you kidding me?) -- and of course .. f.u.d.g.e. This stuff is so good they should classify it as a cure-all for depression and make you get a prescription ..

My only complaint is that it seems kind of shy (it's always lurking somewhere in the ice cream freezer, hidden waaaay behind Stephen Colbert, Dave Matthews and the illustrious Mr. Garcia who seem to be taking full advantage of their celebrity to steal the spotlight ..).

    in the Vegetarian community

So I keep encountering turnips at my local grocery store -- it's one of those vegetables that I always wanted to try out, but I have no clue what to do with them. Any recipes you'd recommend for a vegetarian?
My oven is out of commission at present (don't ask), so I am looking for something that is stovetop-friendly.
