Sambal Oelek Ground Fresh Chili Paste

Love this stuff. I am in trouble if it runs out. Luckily, you can find it in most supermarkets (at least I don't have a problem finding it.)

To add that fresh spice to almost everything, there's Sambal Oelek! Don't confuse this with Chili Sauce, though. My husband did that once and we had barely edible ribs after doing some serious doctoring. This is HOT stuff. Yum.

    Horizon Lowfat, 1% Milk

I don't buy this brand of milk unless I'm caught unprepared. (Costco's Kirkland brand 1% organic isn't in the database.)

Just want to include a caution: Organic milk is addictive and is likely to make your taste buds prejudiced against non-organic moo-juice.

My husband and I were spending an evening in with friends and milk and cookies appeared. Now, my husband is not a man to turn down cookies and milk. (period.) But he realized, as he was struggling to enjoy his glass of milk, that he could absolutely taste the difference.

For me, organic milk has always made a difference. I started buying it because I felt good about keeping at least some chemicals out of our water then found that I loved it. I never enjoyed drinking a glass of milk before I tried organic. Now it's
... a favorite snack of mine.

Mini-Wheats Lightly Sweetened Whole Grain Wheat Cereal

    Have you forgotten Frosted Mini-Wheats?

    Yummy.

Our whole family loves these. I like to grab a small bowl (bowl is small, serving is small, right?), and put about 10 of these little biscuits in, then top it off with something less calorically-dense, like rice Chex (and of course, milk-organic, please).

Utterly satisfying. Must be that little shot of HFCS. :)
