Love this stuff. I am in trouble if it runs out. Luckily, you can find it in most supermarkets (at least I don't have a problem finding it.)
To add that fresh spice to almost everything, there's Sambal Oelek! Don't confuse this with Chili Sauce, though. My husband did that once and we had barely edible ribs after doing some serious doctoring. This is HOT stuff. Yum.
I don't buy this brand of milk unless I'm caught unprepared. (Costco's Kirkland brand 1% organic isn't in the database.)
Just want to include a caution: Organic milk is addictive and is likely to make your taste buds prejudiced against non-organic moo-juice.
My husband and I were spending an evening in with friends and milk and cookies appeared. Now, my husband is not a man to turn down cookies and milk. (period.) But he realized, as he was struggling to enjoy his glass of milk, that he could absolutely taste the difference.
For me, organic milk has always made a difference. I started buying it because I felt good about keeping at least some chemicals out of our water then found that I loved it. I never enjoyed drinking a glass of milk before I tried organic. Now it's... (show more)
Have you forgotten Frosted Mini-Wheats?
Yummy.
Our whole family loves these. I like to grab a small bowl (bowl is small, serving is small, right?), and put about 10 of these little biscuits in, then top it off with something less calorically-dense, like rice Chex (and of course, milk-organic, please).
Utterly satisfying. Must be that little shot of HFCS. :)
If someone buys this, eats it, and reviews it, I will send this person 5$.
I've been pretty happy with this jarred sauce. Check the ingredients--only one thing that I don't have in my kitchen is used in this sauce--citric acid. Well, okay, there appears to be a dash of calcium chloride with the diced tomatoes.
From Wikipedia: (Calcium chloride is commonly used as an Electrolyte and has an extremely salty taste, as found in sports drinks and other beverages such as Smartwater and Nestle bottled water. It can also be used as a preservative to maintain firmness in canned vegetables or in higher concentrations in pickles to give a salty taste while not increasing the food's sodium content. It is even found in snack foods, including Cadbury Caramilk chocolate bars.)
I like that I can kick up the flavor if I want by sauteing fresh garlic ond or onions or adding... (show more)
Easy mac. When I was in college, a friend of mine had a dog who had trouble gaining weight. The vet told my friend to feed the dog mac n' cheese. Ever since this, I feel guilty even admitting that I have this in the pantry. It's actually a staple. We don't get the cups, just the boxes of single serving packets from Costco.
I made some for our daughter today and thought I could share a tip. I don't know about other kids, but our two-year-old is just as happy eating half macaroni, half shredded zuccini, broccoli, or frozen mixed veggies. You might want to start out with less veggies then work the ratio to what you prefer.
When I give her a bowl of half veggies, half macaroni, I feel like a better mom.
By the way, this is the way I make it for myself, too.
Last time we got these little juice packs was for a picnic. Loved them so much, we got more for home. 100% juice, no sugar added? Sign me up!
Sugar-free, whole grain, no trans fats, no MSG... What's not to love? Besides all of those diet no-no's being a non-issue with these crackers, they are delicious.
These are killer crackers. They 're delicious with cheese or meat, but they're also very good alone. It could have something to do with the bit of MSG in there, but I'm still a fan.
I'm not a big fan of the texture, either. When I read the ingredients last (the taste was puzzling), and I say the high fructose corn syrup and the corn syrup, I thought it might explain it. Give me a Triscut over a Wheat Thin any day.
