These little cheese wedges are extremely addictive and I totally agree with Ashley that it goes great with fruit, crackers, apple, etc. They're really soft and sticky (which make them great for spreading on whatever food you think deserves such deliciousness as this. Highly enjoyable!
I tried these during the gluten-free taste test. Overall, these suckers were a little hard. The taste was overall not bad - salty like a regular (non-gluten-free) pretzel, but they weren't easy to break off a typical bag of Snyders. I found them to be really hard to uh, chew? The packaging also seemed to need some work, I felt like I was eating generic pretzels found in a bomb shelter somewhere. Perhaps it was the shape. I don't know about you but I usually don't eat my pretzels in ring shapes.
I don't have Celiac Disease which means that I've had Ritz crackers somewhat recently. I had never tried a gluten-free cracker before.
Out of all the crackers we tried at Zeer's first gluten-free taste test, this one was the best. It had that buttery taste you might remember from Ritz crackers, and I can imagine these would be very good with a bunch of different toppings. We enjoyed them with cheese for example. And they were quite good.
These suckers are pretty brutal. I just found them hard to enjoy. I tried them at a taste test we held at Zeer. They were up against a bunch of different crackers, including the Mary's Gone Crackers original flavor. What was strange is that they both tasted the same! I didn't distinguish a strong Black Pepper taste. I tried them with a piece of cheese and it helped but you shouldn't have to mask the flavor of a cracker to make it taste good.
At Zeer, we tried these for the gluten-free taste test. I think these are a better choice for a kid since they're small & cute little cookie "drops" but I thought the texture was too hard overall. The flavor wasn't bad, but as someone pointed out in our gluten free taste test - they're like little rocks. I wanted these to be chewier.
This lemonade was incredibly tasty. I grabbed it while at the grocery store. Loved the mango flavor mixed with the lemon tang. I liked that it wasn't too terribly acidic, but had a nice tart flavor that washed down nicely. Wonderful for a nice, hot summer day.
This brownie mix may need a little work. I don't have Celiac Diesease but I tried these in a blind taste test at Zeer where I tried Pamela's, Bob's, Cherrybrook Kitchen, GF Pantry, and Betty Crocker brownie mixes. This one was my least favorite because I found the mix to be a little grainy overall. Like some gluten-free baked goods, this one had a distinct powdery taste - Gillian and I suspect it was because of the corn flour used. I like Bob's products a lot but this one is not my favorite!
I tried this one in a blind taste test we did at Zeer.
This brownie didn't have as much taste to it as I like in a brownie, I found these to be good overall, but I found that it wasn't as flavorful. I felt like the taste was kind of .... bland? I don't have Celiac Disease, and I've heard that your palate changes overtime after you remove gluten from your diet (all of the testers seemed to like this one a lot overall)
When I compared them side by side with Betty Crocker's new GF mix and also, GF Pantry - I could tell it didn't have that chocolatey taste I like. However this was the only one that did not use dairy at all, so perhaps that can account for the issue. I thought it needed a little something.
We tried these at Zeer's first ever Gluten-Free Taste Test!
I have to say these brownies were good but not as awesome as the GF Betty Crocker or GF Pantry version. The texture of the brownie was good overall, but more cake-like and fluffy than I like in a brownie. (I like my brownies more fudgey) I'm sure if you had some gluten-free hot fudge and some ice cream on top these would be out of this world because the cake texture would probably do better. I recommend it if you can't find the other two on the shelves or have a child with multiple allergies like nuts, eggs, etc, because they were overall pretty decent.
I do not have Celiac disease, but these are the BEST gluten-free brownies. At our first-ever gluten-free taste test at Zeer, we tried Pamela's, Bob's Red Mill, Betty Crocker , and Cherrybrook kitchen and these were by far the best one's out of the bunch. They were fudgey, smooth and not grainy at all (which I found with some of the other GF brownie mixes) These could totally pass for regular flour brownies in a heart-beat. Highly recommended.
I see a bright future for these brownies - in sundaes, with peanut-butter. And I'm thrilled that I have something I can make for my Celiac and non-Celiac friends.
